Class sessions are ongoing, year-round. Students may begin at any time.

All students are required to take a placement test at the time of registration. They are placed in classes according to their results.

Classes Level I - Beginner Level II - Low Intermediate Level III - Intermediate Level IV - High Intermediate Level V - Advanced 1 Level VI - Advanced 2 TOEFL Preparation Reading Lab Writing Lab - especially helpful for students who are learning to use the Roman alphabet.

Students receive a Certificate for the last course successfully completed. Those who complete Level VI can generally score a minimum of 550 on the paper-based TOEFL, 213 on the computer-based TOEFL, and 80 on the web-based TOEFL.

The Institute is authorized under Federal Law to require international students to obtain student visas for entry into the United States or to obtain an I-20 Form from the school to which they are registering. The Institute provides the I-20 Form to qualified students.

Students in the advanced level are permitted to audit two Wheeling Jesuit University classes free of charge.
