The West Virginia University men's basketball team will play its only exhibition game of the 2005-06 season at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7 against 2004-05 WVIAC champions, the Wheeling Jesuit University Cardinals at WVU’s Coliseum.
Admission is $5 and all seating is general admission.
A student bus is reserved for Wheeling Jesuit students, faculty and staff and a seat can be reserved by calling Wheeling Jesuit’s McDonough Center staff at 243-2365. A second bus is also reserved for the general public and sign-ups are now being taken for the first 47 people that call or stop by at the McDonough Center.
Bus transportation plus admission is $20, first come first serve basis. Cardinal students pay a discounted rate of $15.
The Cardinals open their regular season on Friday, Nov. 18 as they take on West Virginia Weslyan at 6 p.m. at Fairmont State University.

WJU Men’s Basketball, earned their first NCAA Division II national tournament berth last season. The squad earned 21 wins, which was their third consecutive season of 20 wins, breaking the school record. Head Coach, Jay DeFruscio (17th season) returns four starters from the championship squad, along with a number of experienced athletes, and three recruited freshmen.
It is the only exhibition game for WVU who made it to the Elite 8 last year. Ranked 12th in final USA/ESPN Coaches poll, the team finished second in the Big East and are returning four starters from the squad.
WVU season tickets went on sale Oct. 3. The Mountaineers open the regular season at home Nov. 12 in the Guardians Classic against Louisiana-Monroe.
