Congressman Alan Mollohan Aug. 14 Town Hall Meeting Update

Aug. 14, 2009 – In anticipation of an overflow crowd attending the Town Hall Meeting at 6 p.m. today with U.S. Rep. Alan Mollohan (D-W.Va.), Wheeling Jesuit University has announced that there will be additional space available for those who do not make it into the actual meeting site of Troy Theatre, located in Swint Hall due to fire code enforcement.

The University, in an effort to accommodate the public will offer a live stream of the meeting at other locations, including the NTTC auditorium. More information on the locations of the video viewing will be available after the Troy Theater group is seated for the meeting itself.

Parking is free and available at all campus parking lots, except for the McDonough Center lot, which is closed due to summer paving work.

Mollohan’s office announced the Town Hall set-up earlier this week and the Congressman will be available to listen to his constituents on matters that are of concern to them, including health care.

Note from campus security: there will be no bottles, backpacks or food allowed in Troy Theater during the meeting. Security is also requesting that no guests bring signs or banners into the theater.

Please arrive early for guaranteed seating. Doors open at 5 p.m.
