Alumnus Named to 2009 Super Lawyers® List

Jim Wicks ’83 is one of five lawyers in the New York firm of Farrell Fritz to be selected for inclusion in the 2009 New York Super Lawyers® – Metro Edition.

He earned his bachelor's in psychology at Wheeling Jesuit in 1983.

Wicks concentrates his practice in business and commercial litigation. He is a Life Fellow of the New York Bar Foundation.

Wicks is an adjunct professor at St. John’s University School of Law, where he was named Adjunct Professor of the Year for 2008. He is a fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA)™, a trial lawyer honorary society composed of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Fellowship is highly selective and by invitation only.

In 2009, he was named to the national listing of “The Top Attorneys in Business Litigation” in the Corporate Counsel Edition of Super Lawyers® magazine.

This is the second year in a row that Farrell Fritz has the largest number of Long Island-based attorneys to be named to the list from a single law firm. Super Lawyers® is a listing of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
