WHEELING, WV, Oct. 6, 2011 -- Psychology professor and Director of Undergraduate Research Bryan Raudenbush is featured in the most recent issue of The Neuron magazine. His research with undergraduates was the focus of the cover story.

"Bryan is well respected on campus for his commitment to involving his undergraduate students in meaningful original research. His research interests are varied and intriguing, and frequently of significant public importance. We are proud that it made the cover of The Neuron," said Dr. Stephen Stahl, Wheeling Jesuit's vice president for academic affairs.

Published quarterly by West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission, with support from the National Science Foundation, The Neuron is West Virginia's Journal of Science and Research. Raudenbush has been mentioned in past issues of the magazine but this was the first time that he and Wheeling Jesuit were featured on the cover. Senior psychology major August Capiola also was quoted.

Capiola and Raudenbush currently are working on a research project that looks at food and nutrition, "The Effects of Food Neophobia and Food Neophilia on Diet and Metabolic Processing."
