Wheeling, WV, Aug. 13, 2013 ¬- Wheeling Jesuit University (WJU) received accolades as a top Catholic college by CollegesofDistinction.com for 2013-2014.

For the second straight year, the University was chosen by the online college guide service for its continued commitment to four distinct areas: engaged students; great teaching; vibrant community; and successful outcomes.
“Wheeling Jesuit is proud to once again be recognized by CollegesofDistinction.com,” said Rev. James Fleming, S.J., WJU president. “This college guide service ranks institutions based on factors that matter to parents and prospective students - finding the best school in which to receive a great education that prepares them to be success in their career and in life.”
Wheeling Jesuit is one of 16 Jesuit colleges or universities named by the college ranking service. The University is one of 70 Catholic institutions nationwide to receive this distinction.
“At Wheeling Jesuit, our smallness is our strength. Our student to faculty ratio allows for an incredible learning experience, both inside and outside the classroom,” said Larry Vallar, vice president for Enrollment. “We are proud that Colleges of Distinction recognizes these and many other qualities that institutions like WJU can provide.”
