WJU Students 'Make a Difference' in the Wheeling Community



The class of 2020 started their academic careers at Wheeling Jesuit performing service throughout the city of Wheeling Saturday as part of the university's 'Make a Difference Day.'

Make a Difference Day introduces new students to the university's mission at the very beginning of their tenure at WJU, and introduced them to community partners in the greater Wheeling area.

Member of the class, totaling 275, did service projects at 12 different locations in the city. Those agencies included: The Children's Museum, Mount Saint Joseph, The Soup Kitchen of Greater Wheeling, Appalachian Outreach, Faith in Action Caregivers, Catholic Charities Neighborhood Center, Laughlin Memorial Chapel, King's Daughter's Childcare Center, The Welty Home, The Gabriel Project, Samaritan House and The Seeing Hand Garden.
