Wheeling Jesuit University is currently accepting applications for adjunct faculty in our Arts & Sciences programs, specifically mathematics, English, and communications, at both the undergraduate (Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Bachelor of Organizational Leadership & Development) and graduate (Master of Organizational Leadership) levels. All adjunct applicants must possess the following:

• A master’s degree in the appropriate discipline is required to instruct in an undergraduate program and a doctoral degree in the appropriate discipline for a graduate program. In certain circumstances individuals with appropriate degrees in progress can be considered.
• Prior experience as an instructor in secondary or higher education preferred.

All applicants must provide the following (preferably in one packet or email):

• A completed application (the application may be completed on-line or printed and submitted with the applicants packet of material);
• A current resume or curriculum vitae (cv);
• A listing of prior courses taught, the dates when the courses were taught, and the locations where they were taught;
• A copy of transcripts from all schools awarding degrees to the applicant (official copies preferred);
• A list of references to include three (3) personal references and contacts at all prior places of employment listed on the c.v.

All applications will be pre-screened; qualified applicants will be interviewed. Those individuals who are successful will be notified of the potential courses which they are eligible to teach and will remain active for up to three (3) years (September 2012 through August 2015). Individuals may be called on short-notice and asked to fill a course vacancy; acceptance of an assignment is voluntary and refusal does not eliminate the individual from future consideration. All accepted assignments will be one (1) semester in length; however, individuals may be asked to fill assignments in back-to-back semesters.
