Compliance Officer - PED

POSITION:   Full-time

FLSA STATUS:   Exempt (Administrator)

POSITION SUMMARY:  Assists with all aspects of the general operation of the Professional Education programs.   The Compliance Officer will provide oversight and guidance; as well as technical support to department personnel for:  State and National Accreditation requirements; Transcript analysis for the Accelerated Certification for Teaching (ACT) program and the Master’s in Education Leadership (MEL) applicants.  All responsibilities are confined to the Professional Education Department. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Doctorate in Education required
  • Relevant experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels
  • Licensable in West Virginia for teaching and administration
  • Previous experience in supervisory and management leadership capacity

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

  • Responsible for interpretation and compliance with State and National Accreditation requirements.
  • Conduct transcript analysis for the Accelerated Certification for Teaching (ACT) program and the Mater’s in Educational Leadership (MEL) applicants.
  • Establish program requirements, benchmarks, and program assessment.
  • Work with Admissions recruiter to make marketing recommendations.
  • Make recommendations for the operations of the day-to-day workflow and systems management.
  • Responsible for program and student data disaggregation and interpretation.
  • Develop long-term strategic planning.
  • Develop faculty succession plan.
  • Provide training and orientation for new personnel.
  • Represent Wheeling Jesuit University in a professional manner.
  • Promote Wheeling Jesuit University and its students to internal and external constituents.
  • Conduct other duties as assigned by the Director of the Professional Education Department.
