POSITION SUMMARY: The Associate Director of Global Recruitment will develop, design, and lead the overall recruitment strategy for international students.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in International Studies, English, Journalism, Communications, Higher Education or a related field
- Three years experience in international admissions recruitment and foreign credential evaluation
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations is essential
- Multi lingual or fluency in at least one foreign language preferred
- Experience living, working and/or studying outside the US preferred
- Current knowledge of immigration regulations/procedures and, best practices in international enrollment
- Ability to plan, develop, and implement marketing strategies and programs for international recruiting
- High level of computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, as well as familiarity with the use of internet technology in the recruitment process
- Familiarity with the University’s student information systems, Datatel Recruiter (CRM) and Datatel Colleague preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to communicate efficiently and effectively
- Excellent organizational skills, prioritize, as well as the ability to take initiative and work independently
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Identify new and/or revised marketing strategies to maximize enrollment of international students. Assist in the implementation and evaluation of these strategies.
- Coordinate the admissions process for international students (Review international student applications, communicate admissions decisions, track outcome of admissions offers, and prepare weekly reports to track the status of all applications.)
- Supervise and participate in the credential evaluation process. Work in collaboration with International Student Office to ensure that students complete the necessary steps to receive their I-20.
- Ensure Wheeling Jesuit University’s F-1 compliance through active engagement with federal agencies (USCIS) and relevant professional networks and associations.
- Represent the department at various on and off-campus functions.
- Travel domestically and internationally.
