We’re glad you’re here and we want to make the sharing of your news with the campus and the communities an enjoyable experience. You’ve come to the right place to send us your newsworthy information, event details, professional achievements or personal milestone. University Relations gets the word out on campus activities both internally and externally to a regional audience by seeking media coverage. As we all know, Wheeling Jesuit University is an exciting place so it's difficult to keep track of all that's happening. We depend on the campus community to submit information to us about projects, studies, events, and accomplishments.

Step 1: Gather Your Information and Send it to us
We don’t expect you to be a writer! But, you know better than anyone the particulars you’re trying to communicate. Your submission speeds up the process.  All we ask is that you send us your information. We don’t expect you to write the actual release or article. We’ll do that for you. Complete the form on the submit news page. After you’re finished, click the “submit” link at the bottom of that page. Your information will go to University Relations. One of our writers will shape the release based on the information you provide.

Step 2: We ensure the Accuracy of the Information
When you submit information, we may need to request more details from you. Soon after we’ve written the draft, you’ll get an email from one of our writers containing your submission, edited to conform to Associated Press style. This is our way of working with you to make sure the release or article is accurate. It’s important to read the entire draft press release or article and respond within two business days as to its accuracy. Changes can be made at that time. Because of our small staff and the volume of information flowing through our office, it will be assumed that if we don’t hear back from you within three business days, that everything is accurate in the draft press release and we’ll send it out to the target audience.
