Dr John Mansuy arrived at WJU in 1988 after a 20-year Air Force career and a year in industry. During all this time, John has done consulting ranging from developing software systems for the Department of Defense to creating new adult-centered academic programs for colleges. He has written a number of business plans for various organizations and businesses. In addition, he has been involved in buying, selling and developing real estate. In 1996, he was voted the Entrepreneur Educator of the Year by the Bill Blair Entrepreneur Academy of Wheeling, WV. At Wheeling Jesuit, John has led the Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) and was recognized as a Sam Walton Fellow by SIFE. He instituted the Business Department Internship Program and placed over 25 students a year in internships. Recently, he developed a seminar program designed to teach students how to succeed in business school and in the business world. Activities, such as team building, the “Apprentice”, field trips, alumni mentoring, resume writing, job interviewing, etiquette dinner, golf etiquette and golf outing planning are just a few of the activities designed to produce better business student graduates. John is currently serves as the Wheeling Jesuit University NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative, and is President of the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletics Conference Faculty Athletics Representatives organization. At the national level, he is on the NCAA Division II Management Council, the Nominating Committee and is a Faculty Athletics Representative fellow.
