Professor Michaud has taught at Marquette University, Mount St. Mary's College (MD), Siena College (NY), and Rockhurst University (Kansas City, MO). His international experience includes a Smith Fellowship for the University of Louvain (Belgium) and a Senior Fulbright Lectureship for the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Emphasizing his "common sense" approach, he has held seminars in ethics for many government groups, professional associations and non-profit organizations. In addition, Tom has designed and directed extensive ethics education programs for management personnel of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corporation, Columbia Gas Transmission Corporation, Columbia Gulf Transmission Company, and Columbia Natural Resources Corporation. He is the recipient of a WV Humanities Council Research Fellowship, former Director of the WV Business and Professional Ethics Project, a Kettering Foundation Contract Scholar, and past-President of the Gabriel Marcel Society. He is past-Vice President of the WV Humanities Council, an Executive Council member of the American Catholic Philosophical Association, and Director of the Center for Applied Ethics at WJU. Besides writing a monthly business ethics column for The State Journal (WV's leading business newspaper, www.statejournal.com), his course text The Virtue of Business Ethics was published by Copley Custom Publishing Group in Summer 2004. Dr. Michaud's numerous papers and articles include publications in Philosophy Today, The American Catholic Philosophical Quarterly, Renascence, The Review of Metaphysics, The Philosophy Research Archives, The lnter-American Review of Bibliography, The Kettering Review, Higher Education Exchange and Ethics West Virginia. The anthology he edited and introduced, Gabriel Marcel and the Postmodern World, appeared as a special double volume of the Bulletin de la Societe Amercaine de Philosophie de Langue Francaise. (Journal of the American Society of Philosophy in the French Language).
