Department of Business Administration Dr. Theodore (Ted) Pauls

Chair of the Business Department and Assistant Professor of Marketing/Management Theodore (Ted) N. Pauls brings both corporate experience and nearly two decades of teaching experience to the classroom. Professionally, he has experience as both a stockbroker and as a marketing director for a private corporation. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Masters of Business Administration, and Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration all from West Virginia University.

Professor Pauls currently teaches in both the undergraduate and graduate programs, with emphasis on upper level marketing courses. Courses he has taught at Wheeling Jesuit include Management and Marketing Concepts (MBA 499), Organizational Behavior (MBA 500), Marketing Management (MBA 502), Managerial Policies and Strategies (MBA 520), Consumer Behavior and Marketing Communication (MBA 542), Cases in Managerial Finance (MBA 546), Marketing and Pop Culture (MBA 599), Marketing Research (MKT 310), Advertising Management (MKT 313,) International Business (MGT 311), Consumer Behavior (MKT 316), Marketing and Electronic Commerce (MKT 323), Marketing Strategies (MKT 420).

As an active member in his home and extended communities, Ted serves on the Board of Directors for Lakewood Village Association, Board member of the Brooke County Solid Waste Authority, as an elder for Bethany Memorial Church, President of the Trustees of Bethany Memorial Church, volunteer for The Island Recreation Center (Hilton Head, SC), and as a Town Council member for his home town of Bethany, WV.

Professor Pauls considers himself an outdoorsman, loving both the mountains and the beaches, both of where he loves to spend time with his wife and two children.
