The Physical Therapy Department is located on the second floor of the Alma Grace McDonough Center. The department houses the PT staff and faculty offices, as well as the PT lab, the Learning Resource Center(LRC), tutorial rooms, student classrooms, and a new state-of-art SMART board classroom. In addition to these academic resources, students utilize the McDonough Center's pool, fitness center, indoor track, racquetball and basketball courts, and lobby for enjoyment of their time away from study.

The PT Lab is spacious and equipped with plinths, modality resources, exercise equipment, and many other common components of a PT department. Students can use their problem-solving skills to choose from the many resources in the lab to provide the most efficient and effective treatment for their patients.





The PT LRC is a unique setting for students to learn. This rich academic environment offers texts, journals, and recent articles for current PT information. In addition to these more traditional resources, the LRC has access to the Internet to enhance learning. There is also a broad selection of videos on reserve for students to view to obtain a more thorough understanding of their topic of study. Students have access to an abundance of models for study to supplement their learning. Finally, the students have access to the dedicated computer lab which has both internet and wireless capabilities.


The Physical Therapy SMART Classroom was made possible through a generous gift from the Class of 1960. This classroom allows integration of updated touch screen technology into presentations and class instruction.
