The Jewelweed, named after the Jewelweed plant or "Touch-Me-Not" whose seeds burst forth even upon the gentlest touch, is Wheeling Jesuit's annual fine arts magazine. Mediums that the Jewelweed staff accepts for submissions include: photography, poetry, prose, visual arts, and music. Students, faculty, and administration are all welcome to submit work. Every spring, prior to the Jewelweed's release, a chosen panel of judges votes on the best work in each category. Winners are awarded a $25 cash prize at the Jewelweed's release party, during which submitters are encouraged to present their work to an audience of their peers.
