After earning a B.A. at Fairmont State College with double majors in English and French Education, Marlene Sebeck went on to receive an M.A. in Secondary Education with a major in English from West Virginia University. Before committing herself to full-time work at Wheeling Jesuit, she taught high school and Adult Basic Education classes, worked in the Learning Center at Jefferson Technical College, and served as an adjunct at both West Liberty State College and West Virginia Northern Community College. She has taught at Wheeling Jesuit University since 1991 and has been the Director of Developmental English and First-Year Composition. Currently, she is the Director of the Magis Program and is teaching College Reading and Literary Foundations. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time with her family.
