Sara Sliter-Hays received her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin--Madison. She received her Masters of Arts in English and her PhD in English with a concentration in Rhetoric and Composition with an additional certificate in Women's and Gender Studies from the University of Texas--Austin. Her research interests are in the discourses of medicine and health and their intersections with public policy, rhetoric of medicine, medical narratives, and how public discourse shapes our attitudes toward health and morality.
