English, Professional Communications, and Fine Arts Faculty
Originally from a small Greek village, Georgia Tambasis comes from a long line of good peasant stock (sheepherders and farmers). After earning a degree in nursing and working in the field for over a decade she pursued her interest in art. She has received numerous awards and honorable mentions in national and regional exhibitions; most recently she received the 1st place award in the 2010 West Virginia Women in the Arts Exhibition at the Randolph County Community Arts Center, Elkins, WV. Recent solo exhibitions include Mutations, Texas A&M International University Gallery, Laredo, TX, and Trans-Mutations, McDonough Museum of Art, Youngstown, OH. |
