Alpha Mu Gamma

The Wheeling Jesuit University chapter of Alpha Mu Gamma is a great way to celebrate your achievements in language study.

Alpha Mu Gamma was founded in 1931.  It was the first national collegiate foreign language honor society to be established in the United States. The Society’s primary purpose is to honor students for outstanding achievement in foreign language study. The Society celebrates language diversity during the National Foreign Language Week. This week-long celebration is held during the first full week of March, and the WJU chapter provides a wide array of festivities during the celebration. The Society also publishes a quarterly newsletter, holds a biennial national convention and awards several scholarships for foreign language study. Visit the MOL Department for eligibility requirements or the AMG web page at: http://citywww.lacc.cc.ca.us/activities/honor/amg/homepage.htm
