The Henry R. Sutherland Award for Excellence in Modern Languages

This award is made to the senior who demonstrated excellence in language and cultural studies and leadership during his or her undergraduate career. The Modern Language Department Service Award This award is presented to a senior who exemplified the Jesuit maxim of serving others and engaged in volunteerism through the department, language and other on-campus clubs or in extra-curricular endeavors.

Alpha Mu Gamma Scholarships

There are several scholarships that are available to members of Alpha Mu Gamma. Three $500 scholarships (Goddard, Indovina & Krakowski Scholarships) are available for any foreign language study. One $400 scholarship to be used in conjunction with the full tuition summer scholarship offered by Laval University (Quebec, Canada) for one month (July 2- August 9) to members of Alpha Mu Gamma for intensive study of French. And the "James Fonseca" scholarship is for $200 for the study of Esperanto or Spanish. Please consult Dr. Dominick DeFilippis for more information and an application.
