Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)



The MSN degree programs at Wheeling Jesuit University provide an online pathway to professional leadership and advanced practice roles in nursing. All courses are offered online, with clinical and practicum requirements completed in the student's home community. MSN tracks include:

  • Family Nurse Practitioner - Prepares nurses for the advanced practice FNP role and national certification
  • Nursing Administration - Prepares nurses to assume leadership roles in healthcare. The program integrates the concepts of nursing, business and management.
  • Nursing Education Specialist - Prepares nurses to work as educators and as faculty for nursing programs at all education levels.
Applicants must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a 3.0 cumulative undergraduate GPA, three letters of recommendations, and a total score of 286 on two of the three sections of the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or 400 on The Miller Analogies Test (MAT), and an admissions essay.
