Possible Careers
What can you do with a degree in Nuclear Medicine? The Wheeling Jesuit nuclear medicine technology program provides a solid foundation for opportunities in advanced imaging clinically, and advanced study in the health care market. You will be prepared to be a clinical specialist in medical facilities that offer nuclear medicine, as well as to combine your degree with advanced certification in other modalities such as cardiology and PET. Graduate level education is another possibility. Advanced degrees in physical therapy, physician assistant and pharmacy along with admission to medical and dental school are possible in the health care arena, while organizational leadership, business and education are choices in the administrative and education fields. As nuclear medicine advances into molecular imaging and therapy, more opportunities continue to become available in the pharmacy, health physics and radiation safety professions as well. |
