We are committed to serving the underserved, rural , and Appalachian populations in the tri-state area. Denise Lucas is the director of the Family Nurse Practitioner program. She is a graduate of Wheeling Jesuit with both her BSN and MSN. Ms. Lucas is currently a PhD candidate at West Virginia Univeristy. Her dissertation focuses on learned resourcefulness in poor, uninsured, working women. Ms. Lucas also practices as a Family Nurse Practitioner in a rural family practice office.

Janet Bischof is the director of the Administration and the Education Specialist programs. Ms. Bischof has a variety of experience in administrative and education roles and currently practices in nursing education in an acute care setting. Dr. Bischof is a graduate of Duquesne University, received her Masters Degree from Ohio State University and her BSN degree from West Liberty State College. Research interests include heart failure and quality of life.
