You can work with schools and students at the local, regional, state, national, and international levels in public, private and parochial schools, or find new teaching situations in cyber schools or home-schooling environments.

Government agencies, such as the Department of Defense, o¸ften hire graduates with education degrees, as do agencies that set policy or provide services to those with special needs. You may also find a career with organizations that create education resources and do professional development for in-service teachers. With the proper credentials, you can teach at the college level, or implement powerful community and parenting programs to promote the common good.

Accredited by the National Teacher Education Accreditation Council, the Higher Learning Commission, and the West Virginia Board of Education, our program leads to initial licensure in West Virginia with reciprocity in other states. You can pursue licensure in elementary, secondary and special education. As a graduate, you'll be prepared to step directly into the teaching profession or move on to higher degrees.
