The Society of Physics Students (SPS)

Students with a special interest in Physics and Astronomy at WJU have the opportunity to join two physics-related clubs. One is the Society of Physics Students (SPS) which holds several meetings throughout the year and organizes activities ranging from field trips to research labs and museums to picnics and local stargazing parties. Also for students who qualify, WJU has a Sigma Pi Sigma chapter, a national physics honor society, where students have opportunities to apply for scholarships, awards, and attend national meetings.

Not Just For Nerds Anymore!

The Society of Physics Students (SPS) at WJU is devoted to adding a personal touch to the often impersonal world of physics.

Under the careful care and supervision of our advisor, Dr. Peter Ehni, WJU's SPS group sponsors numerous events and get-togethers throughout the academic year.
