Q:	What types of grants or loans are available for adults?
A:	There are several types of loans and grants available to adult students. Grants available include Pell grants, WV and PA state grants and HEAPS grants. The HEAPS grant is available to WV residents only and is designed for part-time adult students. Applications for the HEAPS grant can be obtained from the Office of Student Financial Planning or the Center for Professional and Graduate Studies. The federal loan program offers direct loans in the form of both subsidized and unsubsidized loans. Students may qualify for both the non-subsidized and the subsidized depending on need. All students desiring financial aid (including student loans) will need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form.
