Drive 365 Road Trip Florida January 10-13, 2016

On January 12th we traveled 160 miles west to
Clearwater Florida to the home of John ‘63 and
Judith Black ‘69 DiFazio. We had a very nice
lunch looking over Clearwater Bay and the Gulf
of Mexico. Fr. George led the blessing of the
food and Fr. Fleming talked about new educa-
tional programs at WJU. One of the most excit-
ing items for me is the Cristo Rey program for
attracting disadvantaged students to the Univer-
sity. In addition to John and Judith, Tison Vega
‘00, his mother Mattie, and Helen Maloy also

The next day January 13th we traveled 170 miles south to Bonita
Springs Florida for cocktails and heavy hors d’oeuvers at the home of
John ‘61 and Marlene Yasinsky, Father George began with short Exam-
ination of Conscience centered on detachment and the prayer for Gener-
osity. Father Fleming again provided an update on WJU and responded
to several questions. Ed Shahady discussed the 50 Year Club and the      Fr. Fleming, Marlene and John
successful fundraising by the Senior Ambassadors. Ed encouraged          Yasinsky, Fr. George

continued giving for the coming year. In addition to the Yasinsky’s the
