Annual Mining Symposium Coming to Wheeling Jesuit University

Following a year highlighted by the passage of landmark mine-safety legislation at both the state and federal levels, and 16 months removed from two catastrophic accidents that killed 14 West Virginia miners, the International Mining Health and Safety Symposium returns to the Ohio Valley later this month to build on the progress and momentum of initiatives designed to improve safety in the mining industry.

Circle of Vision Scholarship Recipients Include 27 University Students

Partnering with 16 corporations, foundations, and individual donors, West Virginia Independent Colleges & Universities, Inc. (WVICU), recently announced recipients of the Circle of Vision Scholarship for 2006-07. Each recipient received a minimum of $1,000.

Electronic Medical Records Now Available


Service Possible Through New Partnership between the National Technology Transfer Center and the Upper Ohio Valley Individual Practice Association

Physicians throughout the tri-state area now have the chance to streamline the management of patient care with electronic medical records (EMR), in what is the first such initiative in West Virginia. The opportunity has been created through a new partnership between the National Technology Transfer Center (NTTC) at Wheeling Jesuit University and the Upper Ohio Valley Individual Practice Association (IPA). The initiative is titled “E-Health Access.”
