Make Your Reservations TODAY For Alumni Weekend 2008
Alumni Weekend 2008 is just around the corner, and the entire University campus is working hard to prepare for your return to Wheeling. They are excited to welcome you “home” for what I know will be a memorable, fun-filled weekend for you, your family and your classmates.
By now you should have received the Alumni Weekend 2008 information and registration form at your home. You can make your reservation by completing and returning the registration form, or by calling the Alumni Office at 1-800-888-ALUM (2586) to register over the phone. Payment is required at the time reservations are made.

Alumni To Be Recognized During Alumni Weekend
Alumni Weekend 2008 is a time when we will recognize several of our alumni for their contributions to society, the University and their profession.
This year's Weekend will feature activities for alumni of all ages, as well as their families. Set for May 30-June 1, the highlight of the weekend will be the presentation of the GOLD, Lewis and Distinguished Alumni awards.

Class of 1984 Alumnus Named President of Illinois Hospital
Wheeling Jesuit graduate Robert Ritz '84 has been named president and chief executive officer of St. John's Hospital, in Springfield, Ill. Ritz takes over his new position at St. John's, the largest ministry within the Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS), in April.

Youngstown Bishop, George V. Murry, S.J. Selected as 2008 Commencement Speaker
WHEELING, WV, March 11, 2008 - Julio Giulietti, S.J., President of Wheeling Jesuit University, has announced that the Most Reverend George V. Murry, S.J, Ph.D., Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Youngstown, Ohio, will deliver the spring 2008 commencement address to the University's 50th graduating class.

Cardinal Student Athletes Perform in Another Arena - Small Prayer Groups
College athletes are often seen as totally focused on their sport. After all, achieving champion status is such a lofty goal that it requires complete dedication and drive.
But for two special soccer players at Wheeling Jesuit University, that same drive also took them into a very different arena this year as they lead a small prayer community that meets weekly in their dorm.
