Greetings to My Alumni Family and Friends, It is my pleasure to share news from our Alma Mater. This month’s newswire features stories about our alumni and our University. I hope you enjoy this edition. New and exciting alumni activities are planned for you in the New Year. Several events are already planned in January and February. The Alumni Office and regional chapters are now hard at work to plan activities for March, April and May. Contact the Alumni Office if you would like to help plan an event in your area. You can check out the Alumni Events Calendar for a complete list of activities and for those specifically planned in the next couple of months. For local alumni, we have several basketball receptions planned. If you can't make it to the games, but want to watch the Cardinals in action, the Athletic Department is now webcasting all the home games. Just log onto the Athletic page on the day of the game and click on the Cardinal Cast link at the top of the page. Here are some other upcoming events. Thursday, Feb. 8, (6 p.m.) -- G.O.L.D. (Graduates of the Last Decade) Alumni Event at the Ratt. Plan to join fellow G.O.L.D. graduates on WJU's campus to help christen the new and improved Ratt!! The WJU Alumni Office will provide some great food, and special drink prices. The Ohio Valley Alumni Chapter is asking for a $5 donation from each person at the door. Please RSVP no later than Feb. 5 to the WJU Office of Alumni Relations at alumni@wju.edu or 1-800-888-ALUM (2586). Watch your mailbox for information on our 2007 Alumni Weekend celebration, just five months away.
