Dear Friends, With spring just around the corner, there is a buzz of activity on campus as students, faculty and employees prepare for the arrival of our new president, Rev. Julio Giulietti, S.J. On March 22, the Pittsburgh Alumni Chapter will gather at Molly Brannigans on Washington Road. All Pittsburgh area alumni are encouraged to come out for a relaxing evening of fun and fellowship. The group is also planning several additional events in the coming months, including the 4th Annual Steel City Golf Scramble on Aug. 12. All proceeds from the scramble support the Steel City Alumni Chapter scholarship fund, which benefits Pittsburgh area students who attend Wheeling Jesuit. If you are interested in golfing, volunteering your time, or becoming a sponsor, please contact Jim Welsh, event coordinator, at jwelsh@usgins.com. Ohio Valley alumni are invited to enjoy this year's Gambol production of West Side Story Thursday, March 29 in Troy Theater as guests of the Alumni Office and Performing Arts Department. Alumni can attend a reception in the theater at 6:30 p.m., prior to production. On Friday, March 30, our Nursing alumni are invited to enjoy this year's Gambol production of West Side Story in the Troy Theater as guests of the Alumni Office. A reception will be held in the theater at 6:30 p.m., prior to production. Reservations are a must, so please contact the Alumni Office to make your reservation for either of these theater events. Jim Kelleher '72 is looking for individuals to help coordinate and host an alumni golf scramble in Connecticut. If you would like to get involved, pelase contact Jim at jkelleher10@comcast.net. Alumni interested in helping victims of hurricane Katrina in New Orleans can participate in an alumni service trip in May. Click here for additional details. By now, everyone should have received their Alumni Weekend 2007 schedule of events, with registration form. This year, individuals who attend, have some new twists and surprises to look forward to.
