Alumni Weekend

Dear Friends and Fellow Alumni,

I want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for your participation in our Alumni Weekend 2011 activities. I hope you got the chance to catch up with old friends to reminisce about the past, and make new memories for the future.

Whether it was the Class of 1961 celebrating their 50th Anniversary, or the Class of 2001 celebrating their 10th, the atmosphere across campus was festive and the excitement high.

It is always hard for me to leave campus on Sunday morning after an Alumni Weekend, as I find myself overwhelmed with emotion as the thoughts of many smiles, hugs and roars of laughter run through my head. Judging from what I saw and experienced it appeared that everyone had a great weekend. On behalf of the entire Wheeling Jesuit community, we hope you enjoyed your time back on campus as much as we did – it was truly a remarkable weekend for us all.

To host an event of this magnitude takes a coordinated effort from many people; class agents, class reunion volunteers, alumni council members and WJU staff. It was indeed a team effort. Each member played an integral role in helping to make this weekend a success for us all.

Most important, this weekend would not have been the success that it was without you, and your classmates and friends. Thank you . . .

It is an honor for me to serve as your alumni director and be part of the more than 10,880 graduates we call the Wheeling Jesuit Alumni Association. I look forward to seeing you at future reunions, as well as alumni events in your area.
