Alumni Weekend June 22-24, 2012
Dear Wheeling Jesuit Graduate,
It’s time to return and RECONNECT with your alma mater. Whether you are celebrating your 5th or 50th anniversary, Alumni Weekend 2012 is a time to return ‘home’ for three days of fun with classmates and friends.
As we mark 58 years of accomplishments at the University, Alumni Weekend 2012 also is a time to celebrate one of our most beloved treasures — Fr. Jim O’Brien, S.J.! This year marks his 50th year at WJU. Don’t miss this chance to pay tribute to the longest serving Jesuit in Wheeling Jesuit history! Being on hand for Fr. O’Brien’s 50th is just one more reason to attend this year’s reunion.
The Alpha, everyone’s favorite local hangout, will be on campus serving your favorites for our Friday night dinner. You can expect fries and gravy, Fat Boys, chili and, of course, the Moosehead!
Other highlights of this year’s schedule include:
- Class of 1962 golden anniversary celebration
- Class of 1987 silver anniversary reception
- 50-Year Club Lecture
- Fr. O’Brien’s reflections on WJU
- The President’s Dinner honoring the anniversary classes, Alumni Award recipients and Fr. O’Brien.
We hope you’ll return to campus for what will be a memorable weekend to celebrate our alumni family and to pay tribute to Fr. O’Brien.
Mark your calendars now and make your reservations early for Alumni Weekend 2012! Check the WJU Web site for details and updates. We look forward to welcoming you home in June!
