At Wheeling Jesuit, we believe that the arts are critical to the life of a community - contributing to its revitalization and economic development as well as to the enjoyment of its residents. Exposure to and participation in the fine arts also is a valuable component to an education and can help students develop interests that will last a lifetime.
With the development of new fine-arts facilities like the Art Gallery and the Recital Hall, new programs like the Art, Creative Writing, and Film Studies minors, and new student groups like the Symphonic Band and Pep Band, WJU is increasing student options for expressing themselves and exploring their creative talents. The recently established Mount de Chantal Music Scholarship is one of several music scholarships that enable students to study at WJU while participating in the musical life of the campus. In addition, WJU's partnership with the River City Brass and sponsorship of the Wheeling Symphony's College Concert Series are increasing the University's fine arts presence on campus and in the community where we live, study and work.
Wheeling Jesuit intends to continue these cultural initiatives, and your financial support will help. Please donate today and help shape the future of fine arts at Wheeling Jesuit. Our success depends on you!
