Humans of Tel Aviv: Photography Exhibition
March 8 - March 31, 2017

Opening Reception: Wednesday, March 8, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Guest Speaker: Wednesday, March 8, 7:00 p.m.
Location: Bishop Hodges Library at WJU
Hours: Sunday-Thursday 8:30 a.m.-Midnight;
Friday 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; Saturday 1-5 p.m.

Humans of Tel Aviv features photographs by Israeli Photographer, Erez Kaganovitz, illustrating the diverse population of Tel Aviv.

At the opening reception, Brooklyn native, Avi Ben-Hur, will present a lecture and discussion called 'Arab-Israeli Conflict 101.' The talk will provide an understanding of the conflict and its wider global context. Ben-Hur is on the faculty of the University of Haifa Tourism School, is an examiner for the Israeli Ministry of Tourism, and is the director of Education for Classrooms without Borders.

The exhibit at WJU is organized by senior student, Rebecca Rodgers, and Barb Lewine, Program Director for CWB.

2017 Spring Annual All-Student Art Exhibition
March 9 - April 4, 2017

Opening Reception: Thursday, March 9, 6 - 8p.m.
Closing Reception: Tuesday, April 4, 12 - 5p.m.
Location: Wheeling Jesuit University Art Gallery, Kirby Hall
Gallery Hours: M-F Noon-5pm and by appointment during exhibition dates.
The gallery is closed during university breaks.

The exhibition provides WJU students the opportunity to share original and innovative artworks that were completed during their time at WJU, whether as a class assignment or on their own. A variety of art in various media will be selected for display. Students will be available to discuss their work during the public receptions.

Visual Art Submissions for the Wheeling Jesuit University Student Research and Scholarship Symposium will be exhibited in conjunction with the 2017 Spring Annual All-Student Art Exhibition.

Further programming in conjunction with this exhibition is to follow.

The gallery is closed during university breaks.

Students in the Department of Art may choose to immerse themselves in their quest for creative self-realization through a capstone senior project. This year's seniors, Haley Kindall and Justan Hackathorn, will exhibit their discoveries and creative expressions.
