- Wheeling Jesuit University offers students and athletes a number of impressive, new athletic facilities which are considered some of the best in the country.

- The Alma Grace McDonough Health and Recreation Center, opened in 1993, is an 107,000 square foot facility that houses a performance gymnasium, a practice gymnasium, two racquetball courts, an indoor natatorium, an indoor running/walking track and the fully equipped fitness center.

Racquetball Court Practice Gym

- The performance gym is home court for the Cardinals' varsity basketball and volleyball teams. When not in use by WJU's athletic team, the 2,200 seat facility plays host to concerts, community functions, sporting camps and commencement. The indoor track is located on the second level of the performance gym.

Swimming Pool

- The indoor swimming pool is a regulation six lane wide, 25 yards long, featuring a Colorado Timing system and anti-wave technology.

Weight Room Fitness Center

- The Trueman Fitness Center provides athletes and students with a complete weightroom. The Center also features cardiovascular training equipment.

Outdoor Athletic Complex Tennis Courts

- The Outdoor Athletic Complex, completed in 1998, includes the James and Emily LaRosa soccer fields, two lighted tennis courts and a softball field.

- The track and field area of the complex includes an eight-lane, 400m track with a Mondo running surface, the same surface used at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. The area also includes throwing area for field events. The track and field complex complies with all NCAA qualifying standards and meets NCAA standards to host national track and field events.

- The complex features a 1,400 seat grandstands, pressbox, heated locker rooms and lighting system.
