Amanda Thomas
Assistant Coach
Amanda Thomas graduated from Buckeye Valley High School in Delaware, Ohio in 2004. She then attended and graduated Ashland University in 2008 with a degree in sport management. While at Ashland she was a 4 year starter, as a catcher, outfielder, and designated hitter. Her junior year she was a 1st Team All-GLIAC Designated Hitter. Her senior year she batted .340, and earned 2nd Team All-GLIAC Designated Hitter. In her 4 years at Ashland she had only 39 strike outs in 392 career at-bats, ranking in the top 25 in Division 2 her senior year as hardest to strike out.
Amanda has been a travel ball coach for 3 years. In 2003 and 2004 she traveled to Amsterdam, Netherlands to play on the World Cup Team. She has been involved in the Queen of Diamonds Showcase, an event for high school players to showcase their talent for college coaches, for 5 years. Along with being the Assistant Coach here at Wheeling Jesuit she is working on her Masters in Organizational Leadership.
