WVIAC Softball Tournament---Day Two Recap Kurowski Homer and 2 RBI, Lifts Cards Past WV State
The Cardinals eliminate WV State in game two. They recorded six hits, including a homerun and two rbi performance from Courtney Kurowski. Vanessa Ilovar continued a four game hitting streak by adding a hit and RBI. Ashley Morris also added a hit and RBI.

WVIAC Softball Tournament---Day One Recap
...#6 seed Wheeling Jesuit also notched two wins. The Cardinals edged Davis & Elkins 4-3 thanks to Angela Petros' three-run homer. WJU then downed third-seeded Alderson-Broaddus 4-1. The Cardinals were outhit 8-5, but received key home runs from Petros and Vanessa Ilovar.

Brandy Jester (So., Georgetown, DE) notched a 3-2 record with five complete games and a 0.66 earned run average during WJU's spring trip. The sophomore fanned 26 hitters in 42.1 innings pitched, while scattering 38 hits during that period.
Other nominees: Seton Hill's Louanne Wiegand (3-1, 0.53 ERA), Shepherd's Nichole Pitcock (0 ER in 6.1 IP during over Tusculum).
