(PRINCETON, W.Va.)---The pairings are complete for the 2008 WVIAC Volleyball Championship as the conference regular season winds down.  The twelve qualifying squads have been settled in advance of the November 13-15 event at the Charleston Catholic Sports Complex.

West Virginia State has clinched the tournament's top seed after the Jackets finished their regular season with a 15-0 league record.  Wheeling Jesuit, the Atlantic Region's second ranked team, holds the second seed after building a 14-1 WVIAC mark.  Alderson-Broaddus and West Virginia Wesleyan have earned the remaining first round byes.

A three-way tie for sixth in the league standings was broken by the second tie-breaker in the WVIAC volleyball by-laws.  Davis & Elkins, Glenville State, and Pitt Johnstown each finished 1-1 in head-to-head matches versus each other.  Davis & Elkins won the tie-break and earned the sixth seed by compiling a 4-3 set record in head-to-head matches among the tied teams.  Glenville State was 4-4 to grab the seventh seed, while Pitt Johnstown was 3-4 and fell into the eighth seed.
