Kourtney Booth Ties Two School Records
The Lady Cards blasted Salem International 95-54 on Thursday night. Kourtney Booth (Fr., Whippple, OH) led the way with 26 points. She was 8 of 11 shooting 72.7% from the 3-point arc. This outstanding performance led her to distinction by tying two school records for 3-point field goals made per game (8) held by Marci Bonar in 2003-04 and for 3-point attempts per game (11) held by Mandy Yustack during the 1996-97 season.
Shayla Holenka (Sr., Shadyside, OH ), Megan Stuvek (So., Carmichaels, PA), and Crystal Williams(So., Stephens City, OH) all chipped in with double digit performances. Shayla was 5 of 8 from 3-point land and finished with 17. Megan grabbed 6 rebounds and recorded 16 points, while Crystal hit two 3-pointers and was 4 of 6 from the foul line contributing 10 points on the night.
As a team, the Lady Cards staged a stellar shooting performance 29 of 59 (49.2%) from the field, 18 of 33 (54.5%) from beyond the arc and 19 of 24 (79.2%) from the free throw line.
The women will be back in action on Saturday, February 21st against Ohio Valley University. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m. in the Alma Grace McDonough Center at Wheeling Jesuit University.
