Crimson Hawk Invite—Day 3 Wrap Up
Indiana, PA, Nov. 22,2009 ---Wheeling Jesuit University concluded its efforts at the Crimson Hawk Invitational at Indiana University of PA with two third place finishes in the contest.
In the Men’s 200 Backstroke, freshman Matt Logan touched fourth in a time of 2:04.92 and teammate sophomore Jake Lucas finished 6th in 2:13.18.
The 100 Freestyle had freshman Casey Hamilton touching 5th in a time of 55.39. On the men’s team, sophomore Max Queale and Freshman Tom Smith touched 4th (49.51) and 5th (49.60) respectively.
Sophomore Andi Fitzgibbon finished 4th in the 200 Breaststroke in 2:42.13. Freshman Bill Risse captured 2nd on the Men’s side with at time of 2:19.52. Freshman Ryan Longenette captured 5th and Sophomore Sean Weaver finished 6th with times of 2:25.10 and 2:28.28.
The 200 Butterfly was exceptional for the Cardinals as sophomore Jessica Steve finished 6th in 2:26.50 and team mates Patrick Chadowski and Senior Sergio Bracamontes finished 2nd (2:01.13) and 5th (2:06.11).
The meet ended with the 400 Freestyle Relay. The Cardinals captured 4th (3:38.92) with the women’s team of Hamilton, Steve, sophomore Chelsea Guisesppi and junior Dulce Rizo. On the men’s side, the Cardinal team of Smith, Chadowski, Bracamontes and Queale finished 3rd in 3:16.11.
The Cards will be back in action in January 2010 after taking time for Christmas Training in Orlando, Florida.
