Cardinal Men and Women Suffer First Losses of the Season

Indiana, PA, Oct. 30, 2009---The Wheeling Jesuit Men's and Women's Swimming Teams lost their first dual meets of the season.  The men fell to IUP 120-61 and the women also took at loss 112-70.  On the men's side the Crimson Hawks won 11 of 11 events against the Cardinals.  The Lady Cardinals were able to take one event from IUP when Freshman Emily Martin won the 200 Freestyle with a time of 2:00.84.  “IUP is one of the better teams in the PSAC and in our region as well.  It's a very tough loss to take but it shows how much work we need to put in to measure up to a team of their caliber,”  said Cardinal Head Coach Rick West.

The Cardinals will be in action on October 31st as they take on the Oilers at the University of Findlay at 1:00pm.
