Cardinals Swim Season Best Times
at Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships
Charlotte, NC, February 15, 2009---The Wheeling Jesuit Men’s and Women’s Swimming Teams entered the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships after coming off of one of the most successful dual meet seasons in several years.
With the first 12 events completed the Cardinals have had several season best times.
“This is the fastest non-division I meet in the country, head coach Rick West said. “We have 16 colleges and universities represented and several of the top teams in division II. For our very young team this will be a great experience and an opportunity to race against the best.”
The women’s 200 Freestyle Relay of Dulce Rizo, Jessica Steve, Andi Fitzgibbon, and Kristin Gandee finished 13th with at time of 1:47.63. Steve, Fitzgibbon and Rizo joined Chelsea Guiseppi in the 400 Medley Relay and finished 12th with a time of 4:22.50. The men’s 200 Freestyle Relay of Max Queale, Kevin Rico, Logan Weaver, and Sergio Bracamontes finished 11th with a time of 1:28.93.
