Jesuit Volleyball 2-0 in Tri-Match

Painesville, OH, Oct. 10, 2009---Wheeling Jesuit's volleyball team picked up a pair of wins over Notre Dame College (OH) and host Lake Erie College on Saturday in Painesville, OH.

In the first match, the Lady Cards defeated Notre Dame College 3-0 by sores of 25-14, 25-20, and 25-12.  Senior Missy Gossett led the offense with nine kills and junior Keysha Allison followed with seven.  Senior Catie Halberstadt and junior Laura O'Reilly tallied 12 digs each to anchor the Cardinal defense.

In the second match against Lake Erie College (25-21, 25-16, and25-17), senior Michelle Bonfich and freshman Angela McNulty led with seven kills each while senior Emily Borchers, junior Keysha Allison, and freshman Allissa Ware each had six.  O'Reilly added 21 digs to her daily total and Halberstadt finished with 19 additional digs.

The Lady Cardinals will host Edinboro University on Tuesday, October 13th at 7:00 p.m.
