Wheeling, WV, Feb. 27, 2010---In front of the largest crowed of the season, Chrissy Pavlik recorded her second 30 point performance this year. Pavlik had a career high 33 points against arch-rival West Liberty University. The Lady Cardinals dropped a heartbreaker Saturday afternoon, 78-70, as Wheeling Jesuit was outscored by a 12-1 margin over the final 2:04 in the regular-season finale at the McDonough Center.

The Hilltoppers jumped out to an eight point lead in the opening five minutes of play when a Pavlik 3-pointer cut the lead to five. After a couple of stops, Megan Stuvek and Pavlik connected for the remaing five, tying the game 16-16 with 10 to play. In the final 10 minutes of the half, the Lady Cards kept the game close but failed to take a lead. The Hilltoppers ended the period with a two and a three to put the Cardinals down seven at the break, 33-26.

In the second half, the Hilltopper lead stretched to 11 points in their first two possessions. Pavlik struck again from the outside, draining a 3-ball and igniting a 13-2 run for a 41-41 tie at 13:30. Bridget Buskirk recorded the next five points as the Lady Cards took their first lead of the game with 11:10 remaining. The next eight minutes Wheeling controlled the lead when a Hilltopper 3-pointer tied the game with 2:04 on the clock.
