Steffany Krieg Leads the Way at Southern Regional

The Lady Cards women’s golf team is beginning to excel, proven by scoring their best two day total (650) during the five year history of the team. West liberty won the event with a 635 total, and our 650 total was second, beating Concord by one stroke and Ohio Valley by eight.

Senior Steffany Krieg was medalist for the team, shooting 78 and 80 for the two-day event. Freshman Rachel Hickman and Whitney Young were 2nd and 3rd respectively with 160 and 167 totals.

The highlight during the second day was freshman Erin Metzger who shot a 79, improving her score by 11 shots. 

Coach Vail stated that the team is well on its way for a highly successful fall season which will certainly extend to the spring. 

The next event for the Lady Cards will be at Clarion for an eleven team match on Saturday and Sunday, September 26th and 27th.
