Houston Earns Third Team All-Region

KANSAS CITY, KS---Davis & Elkins senior midfielder Megan Beal has been selected as a second team All-American by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.  She is joined on the All-Atlantic Region first squad by teammates Allison Dant and Cole Dant.

Beal, a Pilesgrove, NJ native, helped D&E to a 10-0-0 WVIAC regular season mark and a 14-5-0 overall record by recording ten goals and four assists.  The first team All-WVIAC honoree also earned Daktronics first team all-region honors as selected by Atlantic Region sports information directors.

Alderson-Broaddus freshmen Megan Johnson and Kasie Shoemaker were named to the second team NSCAA All-Atlantic Region squad.  The pair helped the Battlers improve to 12-4-1 in only the program's second season.

D&E keeper Jacqueline Krum, Pitt Johnstown defender Emily Babik, Wheeling Jesuit forward Kara Houston, and Davis & Elkins forward Kim Brown represented the WVIAC on the third team.
