Men Runners Finish 18th at Atlantic Regional

Mansfield, PA, Nov. 7, 2009---Wheeling Jesuit men’s cross country team finished 18th, 5th among WVIAC schools, at the NCAA Division II Atlantic Cross Country Regionals in Mansfield, PA. 

Sophomore Ryan Beabout completed the 10k course in 34:41 which was the fastest for a WJU athlete but ranked 71st in the field.  Freshman Matt Mason ran the team’s second best time at 35:38 while freshman Russell Mulley came in at 35:52.

Freshman Zach Phipps finished 116 out of 149 with a time of 36:52 while junior Chad Henson and freshman Nick Bonaventure finished 126th and 130th.
