ThIRST (Theology in the Ratt Seeking Truth)

Campus Ministry at Wheeling Jesuit designed ThIRST to gather members of the Wheeling Jesuit community in the Ratt, the on-campus pub, for discussions on topics ranging from math to athletics, relationships to art, rooted in the Jesuit notion of “Finding God in all things.” Every month a different facilitator establishes a conversation with those in attendance. It is God-talk in a non-threatening environment where spirited discussion is encouraged, where assent and dissent are equally valued. ThIRST is an interactive Spiritual Wellness.

ThIRST topics have included: Finding God in Sports, in Mathematics, in Voting Your Conscience. We have sought God in the Music of Bruce Springsteen, in post-Katrina New Orleans, in the “Hook-Up Culture.”
